The Indian Public Administration Association aims at promoting the study and understanding of public administration as a multi-disciplinary field of study and serving the national, and international community with the cumulative expertise and experience of its members drawn from amongst the academics and professionals. The Association strives to contribute towards development of the discipline through extensive academic and research collaboration among major institutions and scholars of public administration. It provides pedagogical and networking prospects through seminars, conferences and other professional development activities.

There is a constant endeavor to afford a forum to encourage research, documentation and dissemination of information on innovative strategies for refining the concepts, tenets and discourse on multiple aspects and areas of public administration.
